Apple fixes Safari browser bug: report

Apple has reportedly fixed a bug with its Safari browser for iOS and Mac that caused the app to shut down.

Wednesday morning, users across multiple platforms including Twitter and Reddit complained of issues where Safari would crash every time they tried to click on the app.

A temporary fix was discovered, where users could go to Settings > Safari and turn off Safari Suggestions.

Buzzfeed reports Apple has since fixed the bug, claiming the issue affected “people whose Safari “Suggestions” data storage cache updated during early AM hours, Pacific Time.” Users still have trouble can clear Safari’s history and website data to fix it.
